A dream is not a dream unless it brings a challenge. Often it's not just one challenge but more like multiple ones. Ah but that's how you know it's a dream. Your dream is bigger than you are! It may even seem an impossible task at times. Even so it lives deep in your being and the hunger to see it birthed becomes greater as time goes on. Our circumstances often bring change into our life. Fortunately God remains constant. He is the same yesterday, today and forever. The promises God gives you on the mountain tops are not erased when you're in the valley. The things God reveals to you on the brightest day remain true on your darkest night. Just because you cannot see where he is leading you does not mean the path is not there. You can trust him---everyday and every moment---regardless of what you face today. The Man Who Understood Loneliness.
The lights have stopped twinkling and the carols have stopped playing for weeks now. But like every year I still hang on to bits of Christmas for as long as I can. This year it took me until mid January before I finally removed the last Christmas wreath and packed up my beautiful ceramic Nativity display. I love that Nativity. My mother gifted it to my husband and I on our first Christmas after we were married. This is the 40th year my beloved Nativity has graced each place we have called home during our married life. I want to take a few minutes to share something that happened this year while I was disassembling the Nativity.
