God's timing is always perfect. He sees everything from beginning to end. Even when we try to plow ahead of him, he patiently waits for us to let him lead. It seems as though I have been carrying this "baby" in my heart for a very long time. More than once in the past several months I thought it was ready for delivery. I kept trying to put a period where God wanted to put a comma. At times, I wanted to "push" but God was saying "pause." The Father always knows best. He knew exactly when it would be ready. Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken. (Ecclesiastes 4:12 NIV) Can I be honest and real for just a minute with you my friends? July was a rough and tough month for me. It just seemed like a lot was going on in my life on all fronts. I can't say that my stress was from anything life shattering, praise be to God! It was more like a lot of little things that had piled up. I will not bother to list them all because that is not what this post is about. I will say that the last couple of weeks were very trying. Update on my book & August Giveaway
Hello, friends. I thought I would take a few minutes to update you on a few things. First let me share what is happening with my soon to be published book, Nuggets from the Heart. Friends, we are down to the wire and are getting really close to wrapping this project up. The word for July has been EDIT! It seems that between the publisher, the editor and myself this manuscript has been read through more times than I want to count. I am glad to know that I have not had to do this overhaul alone. Work is still being done by one amazingly talented lady I know and love on the book cover. I thank God for her patience with me as I search and research for just the right "blanket" to wrap my "baby" in for its grand debut! A Matter of Time: Nuggets Challenge
A couple of weeks ago I made one of those purposeful decisions. I decided to take some time and be intentional in connecting with some friends. It was time to set aside the craziness and busyness of life and just catch up on their lives and share the things that are current to mine. I met two different friends for lunch on two separate days. One of these friends had a birthday in May but we had not been able to get our schedules in sync with one another to celebrate. But, better late than never! Right? When I met with my second friend over lunch, we talked so long that we joked, saying we could have just stayed and had an early supper!
